A course is a term used interchangeably with program that describes the awards, non-awards, programs or courses offered by a provider. It will serve as the blueprint for your scheduled course and unit enrolments. This page will provide you the links of all the associated knowledge articles under the Course Courses Menu, and below the links are some brief overview of each sub-menu.

The Courses Menu is normally reserved for users who have high level permission, or are power users. Any changes made here can have system-wide implications. Editing data in any of these options has implications across the entire system and at various if not all security levels. Please ensure that any changes or updates are carefully thought through, and all of the potential implications are assessed prior to any action being taken.

Search

From here a search can be conducted for Courses that currently exist in the system. These courses can be either Current (Active), Retired (Archived), or Pending Commencement (Pending).

The course outline contains the rules that define the Course Plan. Units can be added or removed as well as rules around unit / subject teaching scope (Prerequisites, Co-requisites, Disallowed Units, Core Units and Electives).

Course Offers

This sub-menu will help you add a new course offering or scheduled program, and it will also allow you too manage existing ones – e.g. searching and editing courses that are being offered already.

Program HEIMS Edit

This sub-menu will let you edit and review the fields and information of your courses that will make it compliant to government reporting.
