Concepts
The contents and arrangement of the elements on this report, have been customised to suit your institution. Any modification request will be given significant consideration prior to any change being agreed to, or deployed because of the intricacy required to implement any change.
Implications
Marks and grades may be awarded at your institution in raw or percentage format. This may impact the way that grades are entered and recorded in Paradigm, because consideration must be given to calculations made on the marks that generate awarded grades.
The Unit Assessment Results report can be produced in PDF and XLS format, and the same report template is used in both cases, meaning that the report can be maintained for both formats in a single template. However, any change to the template requires exhaustive consideration for the effects of the change on the alternate report format. Field elements and column positions must align perfectly for the report to be produced successfully, as well as page height and width considerations and breaking pages. Any changes to the template are strongly discouraged.
Different columns are displayed in each format, depending on the mode that you choose for the report, but the same columns appear in the report of the same mode for the different formats ie. the Review Mode report will have the same columns shown in the PDF and the XLS formats, but both formats of the Publish Mode will show different columns to those in both formats of the Entry Mode.
Some columns and rows appear to be empty in the PDF mode, but are populated in the XLS mode. The underlying report elements must remain.
Workflow
The Unit Assessment Results report can be produced from 2 different places within Paradigm, each with a separate workflow of steps.
