titleOne-Off Event

Sample Scenario

Following the scenario in the above section, say, you wanted to schedule a one-off event at the end of the semester for a seminar.

How to Add a New Appointment with a One-Off session

1. With the existing Paradigm sessions created above, if you want to add another one-off appointment you want the student to automatically be enrolled: based on the sample scenario above – the Monday Lecture Session, will also automatically enrol the Wednesday Lecture, and an additional end of the semester seminar as a one-off event.

2. Right-click on the Paradigm Session that you want to add a new repeating appointment to, click the Edit option. This will open the Paradigm Session details.

3. Go to the Appointments section,

Take note of how in the Course Plan that one-off seminar at the end of the semester event will look like with the Monday and Wednesday repeating lectures:

Tip

Once the student will select the Unit Code BEM1008, the student will automatically be enrolled in the Monday and Wednesday repeating lectures and the one-time seminar at the end of the semester event.

2. If you are deleting a repeating appointment, you will be prompted with three options on what to delete:

  • Event – this will delete the entire Paradigm Session/Event and all the appointments under it

  • Series: [Day and Time] – this is the suggested way to delete the whole series of the appointment. If you will choose this option, it will only delete the appointment selected but not the whole Paradigm Session.

  • 1x appointment on dd/mm/yy – this will delete only the specified appointment date. If selected, the Paradigm Session/Event and all the other appointment dates will remain except for the one specified in the button.
