- Load the student's record
- Click the Student details option on the Side menu
- Click the USI Edit option on the Side Menu
- Check the pre-completed details from the students record
- Select the Document type being used to verify the student's identity
- Enter the addition information required to verify the document type you are using
- Click the Save USI detail button
- Click the Request USI Button
- The Students USI has now been allocated / received
- Click on the Edit details option on the side menu
- Click on the date picker next to the USI Verified date to select the date of verification
How to Obtain an Auskey
These instructions assume that your institution already has an Administrator Auskey
- Click on this link to go to the Australian Business Register to start the AusKey Process. https://abr.gov.au/AUSkey/Managing-AUSkeys/Device-AUSkeys/
- Click on the My Business menu on the left hand side
- Click on the Register for Device Auskey option
- Enter a Device name e.g. StarfleetAcademy.edu.au then click on the next button
- Check the Business details are correct for your Institution
- Read the Declaration and click the Submit button
- You (or the Institution's AusKey Custodian) will receive an email - Action required -Download and install your Device AusKey
- Click on the link in the email to down load the AusKey.
- This will open a web page on the ABR website. A Java Applet will be launched please ensure that popups have been allowed for this page if asked by your browser
- Within the Applet a heading of Install Auskey will appear and a prompt to enter a Captcha code. Enter the required code and click next
- Check the Business details are correct for your institution for a second time
- Read the Declaration and click the Submit Button for a second time
- Within the next screen an option of Select install location for your Auskey will appear. Select the Choose the location option then Click Browse.
- Choose a folder on your computer where you want to save the keystore.xml file and click Next
- Enter a password of your choice (twice) then click next.
- Ensure the password is stored in a secure manner for later reference (and later sending to the Silverband help desk for installation)
- A popup dialogue box will appear of Installing Auskey. Once completed a message will appear of - Your Auskey has been installed Successfully
- Send an email to the Silverband help desk containing both the Password and Keystore.xml file.
- Once we have received and installed this your system is ready and linked to the USI system
How to Renew AusKey Certificate
To Obtain a new AusKey certificate an application needs to be made online through the AusKey manager - https://abr.gov.au/AUSkey/ by the AusKey Device Custodian (requiring the Username and Valid Password). The Device Custodian submits the application and the system generates a reference number and an email is sent to the Device Custodian. The Device custodian is them prompted to download the new certificate and sorting it in the required manner safeguarding the certificate. Once the new certificate has been obtained please contact the Paradigm help desk to arrange secure transfer of the certificate for linking into the system.
