Introduction
Overview
All Australian Higher Education providers are required to obtain PRODA credentials in preparation for reporting in 2021. This applies equally to both Fee-HELP and PIR entities.
The word PRODA is an acronym for Provider Digital Access, a system used to securely access multiple online Government services, including for the purposes of submitting information as part of TCSI. As a system, PRODA is used by many different types of industries, each having reason to interact with one or more Australian Government systems.
Once you, as the provider, have received your PRODA account details, you will need to create a B2B device key and then share it with Silverband via the Silverband Help-desk Portal. Following successful installation of the B2B key within NEXUS, the provider will be ready to enter TCSI Read-Only mode.

The Silverband support team will then install your B2B key and confirm that it is able to successfully authenticate with PRODA. Once this confirmation has been shared your institution is one step closer to being TCSI compliant.
Refer to the Workflow section below for the step-by-step instructions.

BE ADVISED: When a director in PRODA leaves your organisation without assigning a new director, a member looking to assume the director role for PRODA must:
Unfortunately, the TCSI team is unable to access PRODA account details.
We suggest that you have more than one director/delegate for your PRODA organisation to help resolve user access issues. Please see the following FAQ page Accessing TCSI services (PRODA) for further information. |
NOTE:
The TCSI Support website contains a detailed explanation of how to apply for and manage PRODA accounts available here.

Step 2. Register a new B2B device keyThe generation of B2B device keys is a task performed from within the PRODA portal. When creating the B2B device key, we recommend assigning a name that clearly states the intended purpose of the key, for example, “Paradigm” or “ParadigmEMS”.
