Objective

Once you have read this article you will understand how to view and edit details related to a student's graduation.


Assumptions

The pages, fields and buttons that you can see, and the items you can edit, are based on:

  • how the Paradigm system is configured for your institution, and
  • the options that are made available by your institution, and
  • the access level assigned to you by the "nominated contact person" or other Paradigm expert, according to your permission needs.

  • The student has completed the course.
  • You have an access level that allows you to create or edit student records.
  • You have an understanding of the Australian Tertiary Education System / VET Sector and the terms commonly used relating to graduations.

Implications


Make sure that you have loaded the intended student's record, and have selected the intended course. Changing the graduation details for an unintended course or student could have system-wide implications for a different student or a different course enrolment.

Actions To Take

If you know your student's name or number

Follow the steps in Student - Search and click on the Student No highlighted in blue to load the Student Summary page. Click the ACTIONS button and choose the Edit Course Enrolment option to load the student record directly into the Course Enrolment page.

If you know that your student is currently enrolled in a different course, or if the currently loaded student is not the one whose details you want to edit

Follow the steps in Student - Search Course to search through all students currently enrolled in a specific course. Filter the list of students until you can choose your intended student and click the Edit icon to load the student record directly into the Course Enrolment page.

How to Edit the Graduation record


  1. Load the Student Record.
  2. Click on the Course Enrolment option in the side menu.
  3. Move down the side menu and click the Course option and expand it.
  4. The COURSE ENROLMENT LIST section at the top of the page shows you a list of all course enrolments for this student.
  5. Move to the Course Enrolment List section
  6. Click on the ACTIONS button on the same row as the Course to be edited.
  7. Click the Edit Graduation option in the Actions menu.
  8. Move to the GRADUATION section and add or edit any required details.
  9. Click on the SAVE GRADUATION DETAILS button.
