The left hand side of the window shows the Configuration tree(top section) and Conflicted events (bottom section).
When your mouse highlights in a resource, it will only show the selective calendar view. Take different teaching staff as an example, refer to below 2 different views.
Below is an example of a view when Staff member Lewis Smith is highlighted.
In contraist here is a view when Staff member Laura Brown is highlighted.

2. Top menu bar gives you the view from left to right: name of the current view, save this calendar, publish a URL calendar, calendar type views, current date of the week, and lastly period (terms).

Filters
There are two filters on Rapla user interface. The left hand side one is to filter the resources, the other side is the filter of each event.
Applying filters
This filter offers the ability to specify which resources(i.e. teaching staff, campus rooms) from the configuration tree are shown in the main calendar.
