Objective
Upon completion of this KB the user article you will be able to Add Assessment Assessments to a Base unit. This will allow for the assessments to be easily added each time a schedule unit is created.

Add Assessments to Base Units
- Click on the Units tab in the side menu
- Click on the Unit Details option in the side menu
- Click on the Edit Details option in the side menu
- Enter any combination of Unit Code, Unit Name, Unit Provider, Start Date, End Date (Paradigm requires at least one search criteria)
- Click on the Search Unit button.Units button
- This will return a list of units that meet the searched criteria
- To filter the returned options, start typing the name of the unit into this box The the search box. The list of returned results will reduce to match the criteria.
- Click on the blue hyper link hyperlink on the left side of the required record.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the New Assessment button button
- Enter the Assessment name. Be specific so that the correct marks can be entered against the correct assessment at a later .time
- Click the Assessment Type drop box and select the assessment type.
Enter a more detailed description of what the assessment requires
Enter the Maximum Mark achievable for this piece of assessment.
Enter the minimum mark required to pass this piece of assessment.
Enter the weighting this assessment has as part of the total for this unit.
Optional - Enter the week this piece of work is required in the unit.
Optional - Enter the week this piece of assessment is due to be completed by.
VET Providers Only - Select the delivery Delivery Mode Identifier.
VET Providers Only - Enter the Scheduled hours Hours required for this assessment.
VET Providers Only - Select the VET in schools In Schools indicator.
All Providers - Select the Status of this assessment.
Click the Save Assessment button.
Repeat from step 9 for all assessments required for this unit of study ensuring that the total sum of all weightings across all of the assessment pieces for weightings adds up to 100%

Different assessments can be linked to delivery methods. e.g. if an online unit required requires a different assessment to that of an in-class unit, add the different one including the specific delivery method and the press the “Add Add Assessments for For Delivery Mode” button Mode button to add the specific ones. |
How to add Assessment to Scheduled Units from a Base Unit
- Click on the Units tab in the side menu
- Click on the Unit Details option in the side menu
- Click on the Show Scheduled Unit option in the side menu
- Enter any combination of Unit Code, Unit Name, Unit Provider, Start Date, End Date (Paradigm requires at least one search criteria)
- Click on the Search Unit button.
- This will return a list of units that meet the searched criteria

- Click on the Add Scheduled Assessments Assessment from Assessments button.
This will add the assessments to the Scheduled unit irrespective of delivery method

How to add Assessment to Scheduled Units
If the Assessments change from Semester to Semester, add Assessments using this method rather than using the Base unit Unit method.
- Click on the Units tab in the side menu
- Click on the Unit Details option in the side menu
- Click on the Show Scheduled Unit option in the side menu
- Enter any combination of Unit Code, Unit Name, Unit Provider, Start Date, End Date (Paradigm requires at least one search criteria)
- Click on the Search UnitUnit button.
