Overview

Objective

Upon Completion of this KB the user will be able to search for students by Course enrolment and produce a bulk list of students within courses with a particular enrolment status.

Assumptions

  • The user has an understanding of the Australian Tertiary Education System.

Please note: Depending on the individual users levels of access not all pages will be available or editable. If you have Full Admin level access and the pages still isn't visible it maybe either not being used at your institution or have been hidden. The Student Search Course menu in Paradigm will produce a list of all students who are enrolled in a specific course and have a specific enrolment status and add the list into a bulk list. There are also wide search criteria about your student enrolment that you can use when searching for course enrolments. This knowledge article will provide instructions on how you can search for students by course – with all the featured search criteria, and how you can add a list of search results (students) to a bulk list.

How to Search for Students by Course

  1. In the side menu click on the student tab.
  2. Click on the search Course option.
  3. Select the required course from the Course Name Drop box
  4. Select the Enrolment status required from the enrolment status drop box. (These two are required to produce a list)
  5. Select any other options to reduce the results.
  6. Click on the Search Course Enrolments button.

Course Enrolments at this point can be added to a list for bulk actions to be performed. To do this continue below:

The date that the student began or is expected to begin, studying units that are part of this course.

End Date

The date that the student is expected to complete studying all units that are part of this course.

Contact Mode

How the student is completing this course. The options are chosen by your institution and may include Attending, Online, and Distance.

Contact Hours

How the student is in contact with the home institution, indicating studies on a full time, part time, or unknown basis.

Order By

The field name to use, to sort how the results are listed

A COURSE ENROLMENT SEARCH Form will appear on the right after Search Course. To create a list of students, you must choose one of the available options in both of these drop boxes: “Course Name:”, and “Enrolment Status:”.
