Objective

Upon completion of this KB article you will be able to add, create or edit notes within the Provider tab.

Assumptions

  • The User has the minimum required level to access the Provider tab and an understanding that making changes within this section has system wide implications.

  • The user has an understanding of the Australian Tertiary Education System / VET Sector.

Workflow

How to Add / Create a note for a Provider record (without attachment)

  1. Click on the Provider tab in the side menu

  2. Click on the Search option in the side menu

  3. Enter the Organisation name or Abbreviation

  4. Click on the Search Institution 

    button

  5. This will return a list of Providers that meet the searched criteria

  6. To filter the returned options in this box  above the returned results start typing the Provider name. This will reduce the number of results. 

  7. Click on the blue hyper link on the left side of the required record.

  8. The Provider record has now been loaded. 

  9. Scroll to the bottom of the page

  10. Click on the Add note

    button

  11. Enter the name / title of the note in the subject field

  12. Enter the note details into the Note field

  13. Click on the Save Note

    button.


How to Add / Create a note for a Provider record (with attachment)

  1. Click on the Provider tab in the side menu

  2. Click on the Search option in the side menu

  3. Enter the Organisation name or Abbreviation

  5. This will return a list of Providers that meet the searched criteria

  11. Enter the name / title of the note in the subject field

  12. Enter the note details into the Note field

  13. Click on the Save Note

  14. Click on the Add File Attachment

    button

  15. Click on the Purpose drop box to select the appropriate type

  16. Click on the Category drop box to select the appropriate type

  17. Enter the name of the attachment in the name field

  18. Enter a description of the attachment in the description field

  19. Select the minimum permission level required to view the attachment from the permission level drop box

  20. Click on the Choose file 

    button and navigate to the attachment

  21. Click on the Save File Attachment 

    button
