- The User has understanding of HEPCAT / HEIMS reporting
- The User has access to HEPCAT
- The user has an understanding of the Australian Tertiary Education System.
Key terms and concepts
The PIR Course of Study (PCO) file contains information on all courses to be provided for a reporting year. Course information on the PCO file is referenced by the Student and Past Course Completions submissions.
Reporting Scope and File Structure
The key element in the PCO file is the Course code (element 307). This code uniquely identifies a course and links it to the related submissions.
A Course code (element 307 PIR) may only have one value reported for the following elements which uniquely identify the course of study:
- Course of study type code (element 310)
- Course of study load (element 350)

How to run PIR Course of Study (PCO) Report
- Click on Reports, go to TEQSA, and click on it.
- Find PIR Course of study Report, click on Get Report.
- Fill out the fields by referring to the following table.

4. Click on Produce report.
5. Report Details display the number of courses found for the Reporting Year.
