Objective

This articles explains the key file structure of NAT00120 - Training activity file, which explains how we mapped AVETMISS fields within the Paradigm SMS.

Key terms and concepts

The Training activity (NAT00120) file contains a record for each unit of competency or module undertaken by a client at a training organisation’s delivery location during the collection period.

File relationships

For each unique combination of Training organisation identifier and Training organisation delivery
location identifier in the Training activity (NAT00120) file there must be one corresponding record
in the:
Training organisation delivery location (NAT00020) file.
For each unique Program identifier in the Training activity (NAT00120) file there must be one
corresponding record in the:
Program (NAT00030) or (NAT00030A) file.

For each unique Subject identifier in the Training activity (NAT00120) file there must be one
corresponding record in the:
Subject (NAT00060) file.
For each unique Client identifier in the Training activity (NAT00120) file there must be one
corresponding record in the:
Client (NAT00080) file.
If there is no training activity and therefore no Training organisation delivery location (NAT00020)
file or Subject (NAT00060) file, then the Training activity (NAT00120) file is not required.

Workflow

 1. How to run NAT00120 Training activity file

  1. Click on the  Report tab on the side menu 

  2. Click on AVETMISS option on the side menu

  3. Find AVETMISS Enrolment (NAT00120) File, click on Get Report blue button

  4. Refer to the following parameters of generating a report

  • Institution: do need to make selection

  • AVETMISS Report template: choose 2018 NAT00120 Enrolment (Note: Government has no major updates to the AVETMISS reporting guidelines since 2018)

  • Submission Year: the year you are submitting

  • Unit Start Date: From and to period, select the reporting year, for example, 01/01/2019 to 31/12/2019

  • Unit enrolment Status: The system has picked a few by default

  • Course/degree: leave it blank, the system will pull the relevant course/degree

  • program_enrolment_avet028: leave it blank, do not select

  • Report Mode: choose Ultra fast mode when the option is available

5. Click on Produce Report button
