The Student Status Code (E490) is not valid for a VET provider.

TCSI Error Description

Please select an appropriate Student Status Code (E490) for the unit enrolment. It must be between '401' to '410' or '501' to '510'.

Error Logic

If, for the unit enrolment record (UID16) the Student Status Code (E490) is not blank (null), then it must be between '401' to '410' or '501' to '510'.

Paradigm Error Resolution

Student Status is incorrect for the Provider Type of VET.

The E490 field is used by HE and VET providers. The value of E490 must be different depending on whether the provider is HE or VET. The TCSI support page says that the values for VET must be between 401 and 410 or 501 and 510, for HE the value must be a different value from 201 to 331 – it has to be one of the values that are listed in the TCSI element support page, not just any number within that range. This means that the error happens when a VET value has been recorded for a HE provider, or vice versa.
