Save button for the left side of the filter setting (mainly for resources and Person)



 

Publish URL button, popular option is HTML Publish



Minimise the left side of the configuration tree, so Rapla only displays the main calendar view



Calendar type view allows you to switch between Events, Appointments, Day and Week Resource



Date selection bar allows you to either enter a new date or click on the left or right arrows



Select a particular period you want to display resource planning. i.e. Organisation_2019 Trimester 2

The left hand side of the window shows the Configuration tree(top section) and Conflicted events (bottom section). 

 

When your mouse highlights in a resource, it will only show the selective calendar view. Take different teaching staff as an example, refer to below 2 different views.

 

Below is an example of a view when Staff member Lewis Smith is highlighted.    


In contrast, here is a view when Staff member Laura Brown is highlighted.

2. Top menu bar gives you the view from left to right: Name of the current view, Save this calendar, Publish a URL calendar, Calendar type views, Current date of the week, and Period (terms/trimesters).

Filters 

There are two filters on Rapla user interface. The left hand side one is to filter the resources, the other side is the filter of each event. 

 

Applying filters

This filter offers the ability to specify which resources (e.g. teaching staff, campus rooms) from the configuration section (left-hand side screen) are shown in the main calendar.

Filters on the main calendar view cannot be permanently saved

  1. Applying a filter via this section will affect the contents of the calendar view.

  2. Hidden events will either appear with a semi-transparent overlay or be outright hidden based upon your user profile settings.

 

  1. Click on the publish icon

  2. On the new pop-up window, tick on HTML Publish

  3. Title: You can write up a title it shows on the published html calendar view, e.g. campus name - Trimester 1 2019 - Weekly Timetable

4. Show navigation bar: it allows students to switch between dates to view the scheduled events

5. Included date: Tick this option allows the Html view displays the events on this day-Only allocation information

6. Only allocation information: Tick this option that you will not see details associated to events. Event resources still display but not reveal the full details

7. URL: The web link for you to copy and paste into a web browser

8. Always remember to click on Save button, and click on the publish icon again. Otherwise you might see an error message.

9. Click on the Copy icon next to the URL, and paste it into your browse.
