Workflow

How to update the HEIMS Login Password

  1. Side Menu> System> HEIMS login
  2. Enter the Current Password
  3. Enter the New password that meets all of the password requirements
  4. Confirm passwords by re-entering it.
  5. Press the Update DEST / HEIMS password button

Tip
It is suggested that a calendar reminder be set for updating the password as it expires every 28 days.

How to renew a forgotten / Expired eCAF API password

  1. Contact HEIMS via  https://heimshelp.education.gov.au/support/contact to request a new password
  2. The HEIMS Helpdesk will supply a temporary password.
  3. Log into https://ecaf.education.gov.au/provider and enter the API username and temporary password.
  4. The eCAF site will request a new password
  5. Once the new password has been accepted by the eCAF portal please confirm the new password with the Silverband support team to confirm Paradigm / API / Ecaf integration is fully operational.
