The System Menu in Paradigm controls the customisation of your interface, fields, data, and a lot more processes you do as a business or institution. This page will provide you the links and brief overviews of all the associated knowledge articles under the System Menu in Paradigm.

BE ADVISED: Editing data in any of these options has implications across the entire system and at various if not all security levels. Please ensure that any changes or updates are carefully thought through all of the implication prior to actioning.

NOTE: Some of these options may not be visible within your system. If there is an option that you can't see but need to, you can either check with your Senior Paradigm Administrator, or send a ticket to the Help Desk.

Update eCAF API Login

This article outlines the workflows on how to apply for eCAF API credentials, and update your eCAF password stored within Paradigm.

Update HEIMS Login

The HEIMS login is used for obtaining real time CHESSN information and HELP balances. Here is where the password is updated.

Search and Edit a HEIMS Question

Questions that are used for Government reporting are searchable from here. Here, the options found within each question can be viewed.

Edit HEIMS questions – If any of the HEIMS questions need to be either updated or added to. The questions within this section are Government mandated questions and answers and should not be altered unless a question has been updated by HEIMS.

Search, Add and Edit Code Item

Code items are the questions within the system with drop down box options. Search for the data within one of these questions here.

Search, Add and Edit a Status Item

Status items are the information within various drop boxes around the system. You can search, add, and edit status items on this menu.

Search, Add and Edit Grade and Grade Type

To Search for the grades that are used within your institution and System. Edit Grade Type – Editing Grade used within your institution from this page. Please note that care must be taken when editing here as this can edit historical grades as well as future one.

Edit Form Fields

Here is where questions and options can either be hidden, made visible for the various security levels. Options can also be made read only or editable here.

Edit Form Labels

Form labels are the titles of questions within the system. Please note that care should be taken when updating these as altering them can have system wide implications.

Edit System Side Menus

Within each main tab are sub-pages, here the sub-pages can be made hidden or visible depending on security level / permission group.

Edit Time Period

To update, edit or create time periods within the system.

Import Wizard

If bulk data needs to be imported into the system this is the import point. The reports need to be set up to suit the data format and type.

View Email Events

The ability to view the status of outgoing email events that are sent via the communication module.

View Tax File Numbers

A list of all students with Tax file numbers can be viewed from here.
