Overview
After you created sessions for a specific time period in Rapla, it is ready to synchronise these sessions to Paradigm. The workflow on this article assumes that your data (sessions) in Rapla meets the requirements for the data migration to run without causing errors in Paradigm. This knowledge article will guide you on how to set up the integration between Rapla and Paradigm.

WARNING In the event you require to make changes on the details of the session in Rapla after the initial session synchronisation, you have to make sure that there are no enrolments link to the sessions prior to making the changes and do the resync. If you already have enrolments on the sessions that you want to make the changes to, we recommend you to take the following steps:
If you are using the Session Group/Class, we would advise you to not make any changes to the sessions and do the resync, especially if there are already enrolments involved – as that would complicate things further. More details on the implications and level of impact to the changes you will make when doing a resync are documented here: Resync to Paradigm: Level of Impact and its Implications. Please contact our Support Team if you have questions on resyncing. |

The first image below represents the field names in Rapla as well as its equivalent field names in Paradigm (highlighted in red box) when creating a new Event (i.e. Paradigm session).
The table below the image shows you the fields in Rapla match to the fields in the Scheduled Units (you already created prior to synchronise Rapla sessions) in Paradigm for the sync to be successful, see Search, Add and Edit Scheduled Unitsknowledge article to double check if the scheduled units have already been created in Paradigm.

In order to complete the import, it is very critical for user to enter the correct data in Rapla.
Make sure that the dates here are WITHIN or THE SAME as the dates recorded in Paradigm for your semester (Time Period) start and end dates. | 9 - 11am, repeat every Monday |

How to synchronise Rapla
sessionsSessions to Paradigm
EMSClick on the System tab in the side menu
Click on the Rapla Session Import side menu option.
It will lead you to the following page:
Enter the start date of the Academic year in the date from field and select Semester
Enter the end date of the Academic Year in the to date field and select Semester
Enter a Session Unit Code is optional
NOTE:
The below instructions are based on the assumption that you have the FULL ADMIN account access level in Paradigm to manage the data synchronisation between Rapla and Paradigm.
1 & 2. Log into your Paradigm account. Choose System > Rapla Session Import from the side menu.
It will direct you to the following screen:
3.Enter the Semester Start and End Date of the sessions that you want to import.

NOTE: You can also manually enter the Semester Start and End Dates by editing the date fields directly instead of choosing a particular semester dates from the dropdown.

4.Enter a Session Unit Code (optional) if you only want a specific or ONE unit code to be imported. Leave this field blank if you want ALL the Paradigm Sessions created within the dates of your specified semester start and end dates from step 3 (imported or synced to Paradigm).

5. Select a Scheduled Unit Provider that you want to import across from Rapla.
