Overview

In this training session, we will provide an overview of Paradigm, an introduction to the Paradigm User Interface – giving a strong focus to the areas in Paradigm [student page, forms, fields] where you can create a new student record, and an understanding of your business or institution to help you comply to the government reporting mandate.

By the end of this training session, you will learn how to create and maintain a contact record.

Learning outcomes


  • Understand how different record types are related to each other;

  • Become familiar with the Paradigm User Interface;

  • Know how to create and maintain a student record; and

  • Understand the required fields to satisfy government reporting requirements.

1. Introduction


Duration: 20 minutes

Complexity: MEDIUM

In the introduction, we will cover the terminology being used in Paradigm, explain the data relationships featured within Paradigm, and how different record types are related to each other, such as students, providers, courses, and units. We will also cover a number of methods for you to reach out for help should you require it.

The main topics of this training session are the government reporting that Paradigm supports and how you maintain your data, so it satisfies the government reporting requirements. We will demonstrate the workflows on how to create and maintain contact, as well as the workflow of creating and maintain a student record.

4. Extension


Duration: 20 minutes

The following tasks are recommended for users to complete at the conclusion of each training session to ensure that the content is understood and to establish familiarity with Paradigm terminology and its user interface.

Any records created during this section may be raised for review at the beginning of the next session to ensure that the data has been entered correctly, for example, meeting the relevant government reporting standard.
