Overview

This section gives you an overview of the time periods in Paradigm that you need to maintain each time your institution opens/closes the Online Applicant Portal and Student Enrolment online. If any of these time periods are not set properly, some of your Registration, Online Applicant Portal, and Student Portal will not work as intended.

Workflow

NOTE

There are three time configurations that play an important role in using the Online Applicant Portal and Student Portal which are to be maintained every time you open a Course for application/enrolment, see System > Edit Time Period for more information on Time Periods in Paradigm.

Refer to the instructions in Edit Time PeriodEdit Configuration Period section on how you can edit the following Time Periods in Paradigm which are related to both the Online Applicant Portal and Student Portal.

  • APPLICATION_PERIOD - If you cannot find this configuration period, you will need to create a new one.

This is the most important Time Period Configuration for your Online Applicant Portal. This time period defines which period the applicant portal is open to accept applications. The first thing this time period control is the applicant registration screen, see Step 1 – Register Details. Once the time period has passed, the applicant registration screen is locked and no new applicant accounts may be created.

  • UNIT_ENROLMENT

It controls the scheduled units the student can enrol in from the Course Plan.

  • ENROLMENT_PERIOD

A period that opens or closes the Course Plan to students (opens and closes online enrolments for students).
