Section Name | Brief Overview |

Search | From here the user can search for already created Base units. Units can be search by Unit Code, Unit Name, Unit Provider, Unit Keywords and Unit Status . The results can also be sorted / ordered by Unit Codes, Unit names, Provider Id, Status Id, Unit Id, and Last Modified date |
Search Scheduled Units | To search for a Scheduled Unit at least one search parameter is required. These include: Unit Code, Unit Name, Unit Provider, Unit Location, Start date or End date. These can be sorted by Unit Codes, Unit names, Provider Id, Status Id and Last Modified date. |
Unit Details | The Unit details section is where new units can be added to the system and existing units can be edited. |
Scheduled Unit Details | From here Scheduled units can be rescheduled, or edited, Sessions or assessments can be added to scheduled units, Bulk edit of Scheduled fees, bulk enrol of students into sessions, Student results can be added, Online Assignments can be saved, and Rapla timetable sessions can be imported |
Unit Fee Details | Unit fees can be either added to each individual scheduled unit or the Fees matrix can be used for adding fees. Please consult with the Help desk to determine which method is best for your institution. |
Implications
Within Paradigm these are called units, however this term can also be interchanged with Module, Subject, Unit of Study or Unit of Competency.
Users need to understand the difference between Base Units and Scheduled Units.
Students need to be enrolled into a Course (of Study) before enrolling into units.
Fees need to be added either to the scheduled unit or to the fees matrix before enrolling students into Scheduled Units.

Overview
Scheduled Units are the unit records which already contain the specifics of how the units are offered by your business or institution, key fields would include the start and end date, delivery mode, delivery location, fees, etc. Paradigm has dedicated menus where you can add, edit /maintain scheduled units– and those are under Units > Scheduled Unit Details menus. Unit Fees - Search, Add and Edit
Objective
Learn how to search, add and edit fee rules for the purpose of calculating the tuition fee amount when new unit enrolment records are created within Paradigm. Fee Rules represent a lower management overhead compared to stating fees on a per Scheduled Unit record basis.
