New base units are created / added in this section. It is important to check if a unit already exists in the system prior to creating a new base unit by doing a search under Units > Search, or you can refer to this article: https://silverband.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PKB/pages/984668/Search+Add+and+Edit+Base+Units#1.-How-to-search-for-a-Base-Unit.

Units > Unit Details > Edit Details

Once created a base unit can be edited in this section. However if a base unit has already had scheduled units against, any changes will not effect historical scheduled only the ones created after the update. Units > Unit Details > Unit Competency Edit
