Overview
After you created sessions for a specific time period in Rapla, it is ready to synchronise these sessions to Paradigm. The workflow on this article assumes that your data (sessions) in Rapla meets the requirements for the data migration to run without causing errors in Paradigm. This knowledge article will guide you on how to set up the integration between Rapla and Paradigm.
BE ADVISED
You must review the data entry in Rapla before you proceed to the Workflow below. Some of the required and critical fields with data are listed on the table below for review. All these fields are also mentioned in the Create Sessions or Events page.
WARNING
When it comes to making some changes on the sessions in Rapla and resyncing the changes to Paradigm, you have to make sure that there are no enrolments made to the sessions before you can make the changes and do the resync. If ever you already have enrolments on the sessions that you want to make the changes to, we would recommend the following:
Delete all Session Enrolments and Attendance Records
Make the changes in Rapla >> sync the changes to Paradigm
Re-enrol the students to the session with their updated attendance records
If you are using the Session Group/Class, we would not advise you to make some changes to the sessions and do the resync, especially if there are already enrolments involved – as that would complicate things further. Please contact our Support Team if you have questions on resyncing.

How to synchronise Rapla Sessions to Paradigm
NOTE:
The instructions below assume that you have the FULL ADMIN account access level in Paradigm to manage the data synchronisation from Rapla to Paradigm.
1, 2 Log into your Paradigm account. Choose System > Rapla Session Import menus on the side.
This would show you a screen as below:
3 Enter the Semester Start and End Date of the sessions that you want to import.
These dates are equivalent to the Time Period (Academic Term) record you created both in Paradigm and Rapla, see Edit Time Period in Paradigm and Create Time Periods in Rapla for more details on how to add time periods on both systems.
When it comes to the Paradigm Sessions data entry in Rapla, as mentioned above, in the Appointment details section – all Paradigm Sessions created should be within the Scheduled Unit’s Start Date and End Date fields which are also the same or within also the Time Period (Academic Term) where the scheduled units are created.
NOTE: You can also manually enter the Semester Start and End Dates by editing the date fields directly instead of choosing a particular semester dates from the dropdown.

As mentioned above, if you will specify a Unit Code on this field, you have to make sure that it matches 100% to the scheduled unit record in Paradigm, read above section for more details.
