Overview


This is a section of the whole KB, by having this section, user will be able to jump to the any part of KB with a click.

Note that this you can create dot point as sub headings under each sections and they will show up in this table as sub links.

Objective

Upon Completion of this KB the user will be able to update the HEIMS password within the Paradigm System

Assumptions

  • User has access to paradigm.
  • User has sufficient level of access to access the System tab within Paradigm

It is recommended to use table for convenience when it is appropriate.

Implications

The HEIMS login script or Get CHESSN Button allows for Paradigm to login to the HEIMS portal and obtain CHESSNs automatically for students as required. To maintain a high level of security HEIMS requires the password be updated every 28 days.

The requirements to change the password are:

  • the current password in order to set the new one.

  • A minimum of 8 characters.

  • At least one numeric character.

  • At least one special character.

  • At least one uppercase character.

  • And must be different to the previous 10 passwords used.


The system records when the password was last changed to help with resetting reminders.

Workflow

1.How to update the HEIMS Login Password

1.1 Side Menu> System> HEIMS login

1.2 Enter the Current Password

1.3 Enter the New password that meets all of the password requirements

1.4 Confirm passwords by re-entering it.

1.5 Press the Update DEST / HEIMS password button


It is suggested that a calendar reminder be set for updating the password as they expire every 28 days.
