The Base Assessment record is recommended data entry for providers that wish to track the outcome of student assessment tasks within Paradigm.
This record is used to define what a student needs to earn before being eligible to achieve a pass equivalent outcome in a specific Base Unit. The Base Assessment essentially functions as an outline that may be used to trigger various bulk grade calculations to derive final outcomes for student unit enrolments at the end of a time period (e.g. term, semester, or trimester).
Base Assessment records may be optionally recorded against a Base Unit to establish a default assessment structure to aid in the management of Scheduled Unit records. Alternatively, the assessments may be defined directly against the Schedueld Unit.
