Session 10: System Maintenance

Overview

Managing Paradigm is one of the most important responsibilities any user of the system would need to be aware of. Depending on your access or permission level, you have the option to make some changes to the system when necessary. By the end of this training session, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills essential for doing some system maintenance in the future.

Learning outcomes

  • Describe and discuss all the possible editable fields in Paradigm as an administrator or other type of users with no administrator permission level, and manage to assess the larger implications of making the changes.

  • Demonstrate how to add time periods, and grade types in Paradigm.

  • Manage to add, edit, and delete code items, status items, form labels, and form fields in Paradigm, most importantly justify why and when the changes to be made are necessary.

  • Experiment with editing the side menus in Paradigm, when and how the menus are required to be visible or hidden to a group/s of users.
