Key Terms and Concepts

The Student reviews are designed for any unit or situation that would require a student to be reviewed e.g. placements, internships, academic reviews, mentors etc. A reviewer can be added or associated with a student record. Reviewers can then complete the review report page with the required details which can be saved, printed and emailed.

Workflow

These instructions assume that a contact has already been created and the role of reviewer is being added to that record

  1. Click on Contact tab in the side Menu

  2. Click on Search in the side Menu

  3. Enter any combination of Given name, Surname, Home Institution, Status, Contact role (Paradigm requires at least one search criteria)

  4. Click on the Search Contact button

  5. This will return a list of contacts that meet the searched criteria

  6. To filter the returned options start typing the name of the unit into the search box. The returned results will reduce to match the criteria.

  7. Click on the blue hyperlink on the left side of the required record

  8. In the Assigned Roles For Contact section click on the drop box at the bottom of the section

  9. Select the Reviewer option

  10. Click on the Assign Role button

  11. The Reviewer role has now been added to the Contact's / staff member's account.

  1. Click on the Student tab in the side menu

  2. Click on the Search option in the side menu

  3. Enter at least one of the following options in to the relevant search box: 

    • Student No, 

    • Preferred Name, 

    • Given Name, 

    • Family Name / Surname, 

    • Previous Last Name

  4. Click on the Search Student  button

  5. This will show a list of students that meet the searched criteria

  6. To Filter the results, In the search box  above the list of students, start typing the student's first or given name, to reduce the number of results

  7. When you see the record for the student you are looking for, click on the student number for that student, highlighted in blue in the left column of that row

  8. The student's record has now been loaded

  9. Click on the Course Enrolment option in the side menu

  10. Click on the Course option in the side menu

  11. Click on the Actions button next to the Course to be loaded. The Action menu will open

  12. Click on the Edit option in the Action menu

  13. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Contact Search section

  14. Enter at least one of the following options in to the relevant search box: 

    • Given name

    • Family / Surname

    • Contact Role (the contact must already have been assigned the role type of Reviewer, and the Reviewer role must be selected here. Only the contacts who have the role of Reviewer will be available for you to choose.)

  15. Click on the Search All Contacts button

  16. Scroll to the bottom of the page

  17. Click on the Add Contact as Reviewer icon next to the contact / staff member to be added as a Reviewer

  18. The Contact has now been added to the student's record as a Reviewer

  1. Click on the Student tab in the side menu

  2. Click on the Search option in the side menu

  3. Enter at least one of the following options in to the relevant search box: 

    • Student No, 

    • Preferred Name, 

    • Given Name, 

    • Family Name / Surname, 

    • Previous Last Name

  4. Click on the Search Student button

  5. This will show a list of students that meet the searched criteria

  6. To Filter the results, In the search box above the list of students, start typing the student's first or given name, to reduce the number of results

  7. When you see the record for the student you are looking for, click on the student number for that student, highlighted in blue in the left column of that row

  8. The student's record has now been loaded

  9. Click on the Course Enrolment option in the side menu

  10. Click on the Course option in the side menu

  11. Click on the Actions button next to the Course to be loaded. The Action menu will open

  12. Click on the Edit option in the Action menu

  13. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Contact Search section

  14. Click on the Delete icon next to the reviewer Contact to be removed from the Students record

  15. A warning message will appear - Are you sure that you want to delete the selected item? Click the OK button

  16. The Contact has now been removed from the Student's record

  1. Click on the Student tab in the side menu

  2. Click on the Search option in the side menu

  3. Enter at least one of the following options in to the relevant search box:

    • Student No, 

    • Preferred Name, 

    • Given Name, 

    • Family Name / Surname, 

    • Previous Last Name

  4. Click on the Search Student button

  5. This will show a list of students that meet the searched criteria

  6. To Filter the results, In the search box  above the list of students, start typing the student's first or given name, to reduce the number of results. 

  7. When you see the record for the student you are looking for, click on the student number for that student, highlighted in blue in the left column of that row.

  8. The student's record has now been loaded.

  9. Click on the Course Enrolment option in the side menu

  10. Click on the Reviews option in the side menu

  11. Click on the Add Review icon. If the Add Review icon is not shown, it means that there are either no contacts who currently have the Reviewer role (refer to Workflow #1 above), or that the currently loaded course enrolment does not have a reviewer assigned to it (refer to Workflow #2 above). You will need to reload the screen for the current course enrolment if you have needed to follow Workflow #1 or Workflow #2 for this step.

  12. Scroll Down to the Student Review Details section

  13. Enter the required data for the report

  14. Click on the Save Student Review button

  1. Click on the Student tab in the side menu

  2. Click on the Search option in the side menu

  3. Enter at least one of the following options in to the relevant search box:

    • Student No, 

    • Preferred Name, 

    • Given Name, 

    • Family Name / Surname, 

    • Previous Last Name

  4. Click on the Search Student button

  5. This will show a list of students that meet the searched criteria

  6. To Filter the results, In the search box  above the list of students, start typing the student's first or given name, to reduce the number of results

  7. When you see the record for the student you are looking for, click on the student number for that student, highlighted in blue in the left column of that row

  8. The student's record has now been loaded.

  9. Click on the Course Enrolment option in the side menu

  10. Click on the Reviews option in the side menu

  11. Scroll down to the Previous Student Reviews section

  12. Click on the Action on the right hand side of the review required

  13. Select the View option from the Actions menu

  14. The Review has now been loaded to view
